What are these roads like for towing a 20' caravan?

Particularly, for example, the Kennedy Developmental Rd between Lynd Junction and Hughendon.

Is there a lot of road train traffic?

My memory from about 4 weeks ago is it's OK if you take it easy. As far as I can remember, the TAR (bitumen) bits were worse than the gravel....

I travelled it south from Lynd Junction. Single lane Blacktop. As far as the Roadtrains were concerned, if you listen to channel 40 you wont go wrong. they give you plenty of warning before they arrive of you. just pull over and they will appreciate it. I found that it was a lot easier to pull over, than try and run them off the road. Just Joking. Ha Ha...

Gonebush - have a look at a site - www.goseeaustralia.com.au - they have an article there in view of a recent accident. Have not read the report in full.
